New service in BBM Discover menu offers up-to-the-minute tennis score updates and more
Singapore – April 2, 2018 – Following the successful introduction of popular football service, Football365 in BBM Messenger last year, Creative Media Works, operating as BBM, has extended its partnership with Planet Sport, a global, independent publisher of quality sports news and data, to launch Tennis365 for ardent tennis fans worldwide.
Tennis365, now available in the BBM Discover menu, allows tennis fans to follow live action all year round, not just during the grand slams. Fans in more than 100 countries can browse matches by date and tournament, check the latest live action, review the final scores of finished matches, and check on upcoming match schedules.
Matthew Talbot, CEO of Creative Media Works, the company which operates and runs BBM Consumer globally, says: “Tennis fans are passionate about their sport, and want to be able to stay updated about their favorite matches while on the go. Tennis365 is a great addition to the BBM Discover menu and adds dimension to the sports content that we are building and offering to our users and sports fans worldwide.”
BBM Messenger is one of the most popular mobile messaging applications. Established since 2005, BBM has evolved from a pure messaging application for text and video communication to a social ecosystem unifying chat, social, commerce, content and services such as news, games, video, payments (bill payments, top-ups) comics, shopping, travel, career, transportation, coupons, subscriptions, beauty, sports and polls.
As Tim Satchell, managing director of Planet Sport, aptly sums: “We are delighted to extend the partnership with BBM, as both companies continue to innovate to meet the needs of consumers who are increasingly turning to their mobiles to check the news of the day. Keep an eye out soon for PlanetF1.com on BBM!”
